Life is the most precious thing

Yes, I am so grateful to be alive, healthy and safe. Although I am a little sad today, as I just received bad news from my home country about my 46 year old cousin who just passed away on Sunday. He was so... young leaving a young beautiful wife with 4 young children.

Where they live don't have Government welfare, so the young widow will have to find ways to feed her young children, clothing them and sending them to school. This is where I and the rest of their relatives, whether we are close relatives or not come in to help as much as we can.

That's why I am so... grateful to be healthy and able to work, earning money and helping others, not all of us are lucky enough with jobs, homes, cars and family, let alone having other luxuries like holidays and being able to live in peace in a safe environment.

I hear people complaining too much about small set-backs. I think we ought to put things in perspective and show some gratitude how lucky we are, while of course continue to strive to work harder and help others more.

Please don't complain about insignificant things that don't matter that much. Spare your energy to be more creative and become a better person instead.

Good Luck and have a dynamic day each day from here on.

Love you...........

Life is about making choices

For me..., the right choice is always making the positive choice.
There is always two sides to every story or every scenario and there is always a gloomy side and a bright side. I've trained my subconscious mind to take the bright side of every situation while of course wise enough to be prepared for the unexpected, get up again and keep moving forward.

Never give up and never allow negative influence to drag you down. Beat them every time and hang on to your principle to remain resilient and strong. The stronger you are the happier you become and the kinder you will be towards others.

Having the courage to change the things you can change and accepting the things you cannot change are the way I've learned to become, and that's a good... feeling, giving myself more freedom to cherish and appreciate what I have.

Look outside and enjoy the sun shine, the rain, the wind or the snow. They are all valuable as long as we don't get too much of any of them all at once.

Let's be thankful and show gratitude for what we have and enjoy every minute of our precious lives. Life is too short, so don't waste time complaining, just enjoy and move on.

Keep smiling :) :) :)

This beautiful weekend is nearly over.....

Hi again,

How are you today? did you all have a nice weekend? I did, the weather was beautiful and I went shopping for a few things yesterday to send to my darling daughter who currently lives in Japan. I also sent a gift to my younger darling daughter who just had her 19th birthday yesterday and currently lives in another state. She celebrated her birthday with her flat mates and friends from uni. I believed she enjoyed her special day, I spoke to her yesterday on her birthday and she sounded really happy. I haven't spoken to her today.

My husband and I went out all day yesterday and did a few jobs on slow motion around the house today. We had a nice home cooked breakfast this morning and a home cooked dinner with a glass of wine this evening while listening to my favourite Sundanese music looking at a beautiful sea view through our dining/lounge room window. We also had a nice walk to the beach after dinner. We did another little job in the garden and then sat down watching television with a cup of tea and a piece of cake in our quiet lounge room.

I was so... happy today, as I just worked out how to get the sound from our television through my brand new home cinema speaker system finally, after a couple of stressful days trying to get it working.

Anyway, I'd better go, it's nearly bed time now and ready for another week at work. Thank God I've got a job to go to and the income has definitely been very useful. Life would have been so much worse without a job and regular income. My job keeps me busy and motivated and the income from it has given me so... much enjoyment in life. I hope you too have a job and enjoying the income you are making.

Chao for now,

Ah... Life has been busy but happy for me, how about you?

Yes, it was my big birthday on Tuesday and I had a brilliant day. The weather was fantastic and I spent quality time with my hubby, family and friends. It was a quiet day, which I love. I am not into big parties anymore these days. I prefer a quiet relaxing day particularly spending it with love ones. I really value quality times with family or simply enjoy my own company with a good book and a cup of refreshing herbal tea on a beautiful sunny day, although I love rainy day as well these days, as we don't get enough of them.

No matter what you do, having positive approach towards life is always the best way.

Enjoy and cherish your life and your family.

O... What A Day...! I love... LIFE...!

Saturday was my hubby's birthday and we had family over for coffee and cake. We then had lunch at home afterwards. That night we went to my hubby's work Christmas dinner in the function room of the Adelaide Museum. It was pretty good but nothing special, no complaint though, after all it was free for us.

It's Monday today but couldn't get any better day at work. Why? Because we had a team meeting and I provided morning tea for the team for my pre-birthday celebration that is due tomorrow. At the same time, my boss came over to present my 20 years service award. I provided too much food, so the rest of the office got some free morning tea as well. It's nice to be able to put a smile on people's faces every now and then. As everyone asked what the food was for, words went around about my birthday, so they all knew about it, but I don't mind though.

Well, I felt special today, as I received beautiful cards, presents and birthday wishes from family and friends and I am going out for breakfast with my hubby, his parents and my sister tomorrow morning. The rest of my family members are either away or at work. My two beautiful daughters are also away. One lives overseas and the other lives interstate. It's fine though, we communicate a lot on the phone or skype. We are happy to know that we are all healthy, happy and free to do whatever we choose to do, so being apart is not a problem for us, as long as we know that we are all healthy and happy to enjoy and cherish life and freedom.

I am taking leave from work for my birthday tomorrow and I am just going to enjoy the day, relaxing with family and on my own afterwards. Life is too beautiful, so I will just enjoy it.

I hope you will enjoy your day too. SMILE ALWAYS :)

Today was another nice day.

The weather was beautiful in SA today. I had a little drive at lunch time and had a healthy tuna and salad sub, yum...!

Work was not bad today either and I managed to leave earlier than usual. I then went with my husband to Snowy Camping Shop near town to do a bit of shopping to give my hubby company to pick something that he wants for his birthday on 22 Nov. Snowy had really good specials today and made us feel good to buy quality gear at better price. We got titanium cooking set and a couple of other camping gear.

I then went to dinner with work friends but my hubby was happier to test his new present at home.

How are you today? Happy?

I have been feeling tired lately, mainly due to my hayfever and lack of sleep. My mind has been extremelly active wanting to do so... much but I only have very limited time to do them in, that's why I am still awake right now but I will have to go to bed very soon, as I have to go to work tomorrow.

Despite my tiredness though I still enjoyed my life in the past few days. My highlight for today was having lunch with my friends and talking to my daughter from Japan on the skype. Thanks to Skype for allowing us to communicate with my love ones who live away. It's the best technology ever, especially when our videos on our computers work well, so we can see each other's faces as we are talking. We miss each other a lot, so we use Skype a lot.

Good night for now.

Just a couple of photos that may cheer you up

Ooops.. time flies. Still happy?

Hi again,

I've had so much fun since I last wrote, I almost forgot to post what I've been doing.

Well..., the week at work was busy as always and but pleasant than most other weeks and we had a very pleasant weekend.

My husband and I went out for some Mexican meal on Tuesday night and some Asian meal on Friday night and they were beautiful. The African coffee after dinner was great tool.

My husband had to work an extra shift on Saturday and I had a lot of gardening done. It was very relaxing and I really enjoyed it.

On Sunday, we both did a bit more gardening and went for a nice drive in the afternoon, having a walk and a little picnic at the forrest which is only 30 min away from our home. It was fantastic, another relaxing afternoon.

That evening, we had a lovely visit from our good friends and had a very enjoyable chat. I love listening to my friend's travel experiences.

Believe it or not, I had an extra day off from work today, as I had worked such long hours in the past 4 weeks, so I had too many hours up that I had to take. I had a fantastic day, yet again.

I was a very productive day on my day which usually makes me feel good. I did some grocery shopping in the morning, went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned which is my six monthly routine, I went shopping for myself and did a few tasks such as sending letters at the post office. On the way home, I drove a long the esplanade, the sea was extremely blue and calm, such a magic thing to watch, so I stopped and parked on the side of the street just to watch that blue calm sea for a few moments before I had home. As I couldn't resist it, so I got out and walked on the beach for about 10 minutes to enjoy that cool breeze and the cool sand on your feel. It was one of the most beautiful spring day and I loved it.

When I got home, I had a quiet lunch and a cup a tea by myself while reading my favourite magazine in my quiet garden, and then did a bit more gardening as it was so nice outside.

When I went back inside for another cup of herbal tea, I decided to open my open my email. To my surprise I received a wonderful news from my close friend informing me that she is going to have her first book published by a reputable publisher who will pay for all the cost. It was such a great news to hear. The book as a series of poem titled "Life A Gift", so look out for it next year.

Tonight, I have spent a bit of money booking my trip to go overseas next year and just purchased a home theatre system as a xmas box for the family. O.. well... you've got to enjoy your money as long as you are being sensible in spending it.

So..., my week has been hectic but pleasant. I hope yours was even better.

The Secret...???

The Law of Attraction is The Science of Getting RICH
Believe it or not this principle of the Law of Attraction has changed the lives of so... many people including mine. I never realised how wonderful it is to live a life filled with true health and happiness.
I think that if everyone learns this phenomenal principle, we'll have a much better world full of positive and happy people.
I have been inspired to share this principle with others for many years since I first read the books titled "The Magic of Thinking Big", "Think and Grow Rich" and "You Were Born Rich"
And then the movie "The Secret" was published, which shook the world.
Below is a short article about where this principle is originated
Enjoy...!
What Happens When 3 Extraordinary Teachers from "the Secret" Come Together to Teach the Science of Getting Rich?
by Tenny Charlesworth
The Science of Getting Rich is a timeless classic written in 1910 by Wallace D. Wattles. It is a bold title for a book and suggests that getting rich is a predictable outcome if one can master the principles outlined in the book. Here is how Wallace D. Wattles puts it in his own words, "The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich."
Certainly, this book is well referenced by many of the great teachers today and it is the same book that inspired Rhonda Byrne to produce that runaway success "the Secret". Here is what Rhonda Byrne said on her introductory note to the book, "I can honestly say that, since that first night when a tattered printed manuscript found its way to me (thanks to one of my daughters), my life has never been the same. Once you read it for yourself, you will understand why". Rhonda went on to produce the movie "the Secret" and the best-selling book of the same title which has sold millions of copies worldwide.
However, learning how to do things in that "certain way" as described by Wallace D. Wattles may be more challenging for some as the book was written nearly 100 years ago. Some of the language is a little dated and much of its wisdom lost from a modern day perspective.Fortunately, a new training seminar for the Science of Getting Rich has brought the wisdom of this timeless classic back to life for modern readers. Called "the Science of Getting Rich", this program is the most comprehensive training system for mastering Wallace D. Wattles wealth creation philosophies and principles since its creation. It comprises written, audio and live seminar formats for learning, applying and mastering the Science of Getting Rich
A unique "twist" to the program is the fact that it has an in-built vehicle for creating substantial financial wealth through its affiliate program. This is truly a unique wealth eduction and wealth building program designed to empower any individual with the resources to get rich. It is a program whose time has come. The program would not be possible without the original text from Wallace D. Wattles, the skills of leading teachers of our time, the phenomenal success of "the Secret" and the Internet as a learning and distribution tool.

Ah... I love Fridays........

It's been a long week at work for me, I and the rest of my team have had a very busy week and I was looking forward to a nice break this weekend, so I felt really good when I left work this afternoon.

I spoke to my daughter who lives in Sydney today and she was looking forward to her music gig at the Basement tonight. She is very happy with her life right now.

My husband spoke to our other daughter who lives in Japan and very happy over there too.As parents, it's the best thing to hear that your children are happy. I wish them the best.

As for us (my husband and I), even though we both work full time, we are happy with our situation as well. We are happy the fact that we both have full time jobs and able to live reasonably well. We can't ask for more.

I went shopping today and I treated myself with a pair of gold earings that I really like, it's a present from myself for my 50th birthday that's coming soon.

Another beautiful day........

Hi,

Today was another beautiful day for me, the weather was gorgeous, work was also pretty good as I had a reasonably productive day with less interruptions, unlike most other days. I had a relaxing walk at lunch time and bought a few christmas presents.

My best highlight tonight was listening to Barack
Obama's full Presidential Victory Speech in Chicago. As I missed listening to it on the day of the election, I listened to it on YouTube tonight. Thanks to "YouTube". It's a brilliant speech and it made me cry of amazement and joy, especially when he spoke of a 106 year old lady, Anne Nixon Cooper who was able to vote this time. I also loved the part when he included every race, when he said that we all have hope and can do, and when he said that he will listen and will be the president for everyone including those that did not vote for him.

In my opinion, Barack Obama is an amazing man, who is extremely intelligent, experienced and
charismatic. America is very lucky to have him as their president.

Why don't you listen to his speech and pick up a few of his messages, and then apply them in your life. They are all very positive, encouraging and inspirational. You can't go wrong with them.

After I listened to Obama's speech, I listened and sang along to a few classic Sundanese (West Javanese) Pop songs that I used to sing semi professionally 30 years ago. I actually am still able to sing them well and enjoy singing them. I bet you were thinking that you were lucky not to be here hearing me singing. Yes, you are lucky. However, my daughters think they sound good but you won't understand the lirics at all, even a lot of Indonesian don't understand them, only people from West Java would. The melody is relaxing and pleasant though, to me anyway.

Stay Safe,
xx

No matter what happens, stay in control

How are you today? I hope you had a dynamic day.
It's Saturday night here in South OZ. It's quite late actually and I am feeling very tired, but my body just doesn't like bed before midnight. So, I am updating this blog before I go to bed.

It's been a busy, tiring week at work for me, trying to keep everyone around me staying positive. I just hope that whatever I did, worked. I don't feel as confident sometimes, especially when I was feeling tired and slightly stress myself.

I used to feel disappointed with myself when it happened that way in the past but not anymore. I just accept the fact that I am a human being myself, so feeling tired and making mistakes are OK and just have to move forward. So, I am.

Today I had a lunch invitation from a friend who live close by, we all took traditional Sundanese (West Javanese) food to share accompanied with Sundanese Music and talking Sundanese with friends in a lovely spring afternoon. We enjoyed it so... much, we ended-up over-staying there but we made sure we left before dinner time.

When I got home, I couldn't help myself listening to even more Sundanese music, I must have missed my own tradition and culture. As I also looked at some old photos, I got reminded about old times when I used to dance, sing and act when I was young. I used to love performing but didn't get to do enough to become a professional artist. Never mind..., I am happy with what I have been doing so far. I've studied and worked hard in the field of workplace and people management. I got married almost 25 years ago and brought up two beautiful and talented daughters who have become performing artists now. My eldest is an actor, dancer & model and my youngest is a musician. I am so.... happy for them and wish them the best.

Anyway, it was really good looking at my old time photos. I love doing that, especially looking at photos of the children when they were young too.

So..., no matter how stressful your week at work can be sometimes, try not to let it worry you and don't think about it once it's gone, as nothing can be done, just keep going forward doing what you have to do and what you want to do, while staying positive and staying in control.

Good luck and have a fantastic week.

Be happy despite of what happens around you

Happiness is within..... No matter what's happening around you, never allow any external influence to affect the way you feel inside.

Listen to what you can hear, watch what you can see, pause and respond to them constructively. Never allow them to drag you down, it's not worth it. Stay strong, stand tall and smile with confidence. Most of the time they are not that important.

The reason why I am saying this because it took me along time and a lot of effort to actually be able to preserve my inner happiness from those negative external influences, which can be constantly coming at you unfortunately.

Once you achieve that inner happiness within your body and your mind, no one can touch you, you'll just be sailing along with an ability to continue with whatever you have to do in life. In the end, what you say will resonate through others and you will end up being the one who spread the positive energy rather getting dragged down by tho negative energy coming at you.

When I was younger, I used to react too soon over negative things and allowed them to affect the way I felt about myself. So, I feel successful by being able to defeat negativity.

Three things that made me feel happy today.

First of all, the weather was almost perfect, a beautiful 30*C, I love.... warm weather.
Secondly, I got to spend a valuable time with family all day, can't get any better than that.
Thirdly, I have been well, happy and healthy today, and I really enjoyed my food that I had today. I had egg and bacon with brown rice for brunch and noodle soup with vegies for dinner.

I can guarantee that we can always find 3 things that I really like or enjoy each day. Some day may even find a lot more than 3. Try it, it's a really good exercise that makes you smile.

If you come across negative people who try to tell you negative things rather than positive things, just listen a little and empathise with them but quickly change the subject or let them know that you are in a hurry to get to your next job or whatever it is that you need to do next. "Empathise and help if possible but do not let them drag you down and do not join in"

Well, I'd love to write more tonight but it's way past my bed time, so I'd better go to bed, as I am going to work tomorrow.

By for now,

Things that inspired me to write this blog

Hi Happy Readers,

I've got a little story that may interest you.

Over the years I've met so many people from different walks of life. Despite the challenges of life that we all encounter from time to time, I've found life extremely fascinating, invigorating and beautiful. However, I still see so... many unhappy people around, which is difficult to comprehend, especially when these people appear to be normal, healthy and relatively capable people with reasonable jobs, family and financial position.

On the contrary, many of those who are clearly, genuinely and seriously ill or disadvantaged seem to be more grateful for their life. It shows you that those normal people take their normality, good health and fortune for granted and forget to show gratitude, which I find sad really.

O... well, I guess that's the reason why blogs like this are handy, so we can all remind ourselves how we can be more grateful for our lives and everything in it.

I am writing this blog to share my happy experiences with my hope that they help others to become happier and to appreciate this precious life more. I would also like to learn from other bloggers and blog readers who have positive thoughts and don't mind sharing with me.

So... first of all, I hope you've had a happy and dynamic day. I think of 3 things that make me feel happy everyday and I hang on to those thoughts and feelings for as long as I can or until the next day when I find other 3 positive things.

I personally had a fantastic day today. I spent a lot of time with my good friends and we talked a lot about healthy eating and positive thinking.

I had work lunch with 12 work mates and then went to dinner after work with another group of friends from my previous job. I don't usually eat out very often, simply to avoid eating too much fattening food and to save money for other priorities like traveling for example. Today was just a special day for one of my colleague's farewell get together and catching up with friends before the festive season.

Both events were fantastic, particularly at dinner time. As the restaurant was by the sea, while eating and chatting, we were looking out the window facing the calm blue sea water watching a couple of seals and a dolphin swimming across our view. It was such a beautiful moment and I will remember that moment for a long time.

Christmas is coming soon and you may have plans to eat out with your work friends and family members too. If so, why don't you choose a restaurant with a beautiful view and delicious food. If eating out is not your thing and you feel a bit bored, why don't you find some activities that will make you smile, maybe walking on the beach, reading your favourite book or whatever that tickles your fancy. Go ahead and enjoy it. Don't forget to share your experience with me though..he..he.. By... for now.

TSSC Self-Care Online

Hello Readers and Sharers,

Let's share ideas about well being and how we can stay healthy and happy.

In my opinion, life doesn't mean much unless you are absolutely healthy and happy.

There are ways to prevent illnesses and unhappiness, although we have to recognise, respect and empathized the fact that they are people who become unwell even if they try to prevent it.

While gaining happiness is within our control, becoming ill may not always be in our control. However, let's learn why it is important to do whatever we can to avoid being ill and unhappy.

I am inspired to write this blog to share with you because I feel so... blessed being extremelly healthy and happy at this time of my life, which has made me feel very positive about everything I encounter each day.

First of all, I want to say that the most important thing you need to do is to "think positive", always see the bright side of everything without forgetting that if things don't turn out in your favour, let go, move on and learn from the experience. If you keep doing this, you will always be happy and if you are happy you are likely to keep away from getting sick.

Let's leave it at that for now,
Kind Regards, Tenny.
