I read a quote in a magazine saying "great minds talk about ideas, average minds talk about events and small minds talk about people." I smiled when I read this quote, as I have come across many people in my life time who love talking about people or events. Does that mean that they are more people around us with average and small minds? who knows? but we can do something to train our minds in becoming better or greater.
So, next time you have a chat with someone, think about what you talk about. If you find yourself gossiping about other people, bite your lips or your tongue and change the subject. Talking about events would be better and talking about plans and ideas is even better.
Talking about ideas is certainly much more useful then gossiping about people. Ideas help all of us gaining better results but gossiping causes a lot of harm.
Think before you talk and come up with some great ideas. Better again if you can share your great ideas with others.
