Ingredients:
- 1 kg bolar roast beef - cut in 3cm cubes
- 10 cocktail potatoes - wash
- 2 large carrots - peel and cut in 3cm length
- 1 large onion - chop in small cubes
- 3 cloves of garlic - crush
- 3 cm ginger root - peel and slice thinly
- 2 large fresh tomatoes or 1 can of sliced tomatoes - if fresh, chopped in small pieces
- 1/4 cup of sweet soy sauce (ABC kecap manis)
- 1 tea spoon ground black pepper or less if preferred
- 1/2 tea spoon of salt or less if preferred
- A pinch of nutmeg
- 1 - 2 table spoon vegetable cooking oil
- Saute sliced onion, crushed garlic and sliced ginger until soft and slightly brown in a large sauce pan
- Add beef and stir until the outside is slightly brown
- Add potatoes, chopped carrots, chopped tomatoes, soy, salt & pepper, nutmeg
- Stir and bring to the boil
- Turn heat down, put the lid on and simmer until everything is well cooked and soft
